How to use Tangible for your building insurance claim
Our guide to a prompt and painless buildings insurance claim process.
CALL US FIRST if you have suffered damage to your property as a result of fire, flood, water, storm or impact damage. We will provide FREE advice prior to you contacting your insurance company and informing them of the damage. They will take details of the claim from you and arrange for a loss adjuster or appointed representative to act on their behalf. Their representative will visit you to examine the damage and validate your claim.
We will arrange for one of our expert building engineers to visit your property to assess the damage on your behalf. We will provide any emergency equipment required (such as heaters and dehumidifiers)
We will then provide your insurers with a full damage report and a detailed quotation. We deal with them directly to get the necessary works approved. You need do nothing.
Your insurance company will usually send a Loss Adjuster to your property to ensure that you are only claiming for insured losses. This is to also minimise the insurer’s costs. We will attend the property at the same time (working on your behalf), and will aim to get approval for all necessary work to bring the property back to its prior condition.
On approval of the quotation, we will send a Tangible Building Team to your property to carry out all of the remedial work to YOUR satisfaction.
Once you have signed-off the job as satisfactorily completed, we will invoice your insurance company directly. Leaving you to get on with your life.
